i really appreciate his work
the first stanza is only three lines long. this could represent the speakers first impression of the city since first impressions are always made in a split second. the second stanza is the longest stanza in the poem. the speaker seems to be analysing the city and the. wider reading assignment, comparing a pre 1914 piece writing an essay based on a poem literature - frankenstein and a post 1914 piece of literature - carrie. with the link short essay of honesty is the best policy; social outcastsi chose to compare these two books as i feel that there is a strong link between them. both frankenstein and carrie are associated with the theme of social outcasts. even though the books were written at very different times, the theme comes across just as strongly and effectively in both books.
