frankenstein, 1984 and hamlet all share these similarities but are also independently distinctive. epics are very common because people enjoy reading about men and women who are human, but seem to possess a nature which propels them against greater odds for better or for worse. in 1984 and hamlet, we are presented with two main characters who are being oppressed by their own governments. whereas in frankenstein, victor feels that he has been oppressed by god and in order to overcome god, he needs to accomplish the miracle which sets him apart from god, the creation of life from death and in doing so creates a creature that takes the form of god and punishes victor for his show my homework lowton high school. although god and government are not identical, they both are similar in the respect that they both possess absolute power.
